Hi! My name is Rabbit. My mother, Vilavan, opened Thai Gourmet with her husband, Tim, in 2004 after establishing their stationary food truck at the University of Pittsburgh. As of today, they stepped back from Thai Gourmet restaurant to focus on doing their best for the Pitt students at their food truck. Thai Gourmet has become a second-generation restaurant, continuing to do our best to be consistent. My mom was hands-on and cooked most dishes herself throughout the years and I am proud of that. Since 2004, we are continuing our hands-on approach to best uphold my mom's legacy. Everyone here is family so please stop by and have a taste.

This is my favorite place to get Tofu General Tso's. I've tried from many places in the Pittsburgh area, but Thai Gourmet CRUSHES it!! As a vegetarian, I highly recommend for anyone who looks for vegetarian options. They know how to cook the tofu + breading PERFECTLY.
